I have been dreaming about creating The Aligned Collective since I started my 200hr yoga teacher training back in 2016. I didn’t know the details back then, I just had a longing to create a space that felt like home, that helped people to love themselves exactly as they are, and by doing so encourage people to live their best lives.

And here we are, 8 years in the making! It’s not surprising that in order to create a space that teaches people to love themselves as they are, meant that I had to learn to do the same! My self-love journey led me to start my own holistic business called Empowered Joy. I spent a year hosting my own classes, programs, services, and trainings at many different wellness spaces. It was liberating to leave the studio model behind and branch out on my own unique journey.

AND.

As many practitioners find, it was lonely. I missed the community element of working with others as well as the roots and stability that come from settling into one location. And yet I had no desire to step back into a traditional studio setting. So I stopped renting space from others, took the summer off to be with my family, taught yoga in my backyard, brought Reiki into peoples homes, and miracuously the ideas started to pour in.

I started to attract other Holistic providers who wanted the same thing. Someone made an appointment for me to look at the property that is now home for the Collective. Everything just fell into place. And I surrendered to it.
